Welcome, dear readers, to the first ever Carnival of Notebooking. I don't know if I'll make this a continual Carnival or not; I guess we'll see how this one goes. Maybe once a month unless it gets really popular, then it could be more often? Well, let's move right in to the posts:Sheri from The Shades of Pink wanted to share last week's work, "Winnie the Pooh and Some Bees" and I think it's great! Sheri, I love your idea of using those spiral-bound scrapbooks and using a double-page spread for each topic. (And oddly enough, I have bees on the mind at the moment - we just got finished watching "Bee Movie", LOL!)
Barb, a.k.a "HarmonyArtMom" is sharing her great Squidoo lens on the Sonoran Desert. Lots of great stuff there, and if you're looking specifically for notebooking pages, there are some links about 2/3rds of the way down the page.
Have you ever wondered what to do with those thousand and one crafts that children are prone to do, especially if they are part of a directed curriculum - but you just have NO where to keep them? Jimmie from One Child Policy Homeschool has a great idea here! Jimmie always has great notebooking ideas - thanks for sharing!
Keri also has some great ideas. She's sharing two posts this time: one on comb-binding your own notebooks at home (wow, can I be jealous?!) and another on making journals from pocket folders and your own paper. Again with the comb-binder, how creative!
Well, that's it for the first ever Carnival of Notebooking! Thank you all so much, ladies, for sharing your talent and your time with the rest of us. I hope all you readers enjoy it, and perhaps you'll participate next time!
Don't forget, if you want to keep up with happenings here at NotebookLearning.com, you can always sign up for our once-weekly newsletter right here. This was great. It will pull together just keep it up, I wouldn't mind hosting one, just let me know and I can get to work on it.
I enjoyed reading everyone's entries and know that there are many families that will benefit from this carnival.
Thanks for putting it together. Can you email me when you are going to do another carnival so I won't miss it? Do you have a list going of potential hosts? I wouldn't mind hosting in the future.

Hi Melanie,
I found out about this carnival from Jimmie's blog. I was trying to get a post together for this. It's finally finished. I just needed to download a few more pictures. My post is only about one book for toddlers. I don't have a big list of resources or anything. It's titled "The Twins Meet Monday the Bullfrog" if you want to check it out on my blog. I don't know if it's good enough to include in a carnival. Let me know if this is the kind of thing you would want for a future carnival. I'm new at all of this blogging stuff, so I don't know what's expected.
My blog is www.heartofwisdom.com/BecomingReal.
I signed up for your newsletter. Your site looks like it will be very helpful. Thanks for putting this carnival together!
Thanks,
Penney
Nice, Melanie! :-) Looks like a monthly carnival is quite possible.
Thanks for putting this carnival together! We're always looking for new notebooking ideas. I'm linking you in my sidebar, and signing up for your email so I'll know when the next carnival happens. :)
Blessings,
Shannon
